Biografische Angaben
Dr. Irene Weipert-Fenner (geb. 1982) ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Leibniz-Institut für Friedens- und Konfliktforschung (PRIF) sowie Principal Investigator bei ConTrust. Als vergleichende Politikwissenschaftlerin beschäftigt sie sich mit Autokratien und Demokratisierung sowie Protesten und sozialen Bewegungen mit einem regionalen Schwerpunkt auf den Nahen und Mittleren Osten sowie Nordafrika. Frau Weipert-Fenner hat an der Goethe-Universität in der Politikwissenschaft promoviert. Für ihre Dissertation „The Autocratic Parliament. Power and Norm Dynamics in Egypt, 1866 -2011“ erhielt sie 2014 den Dissertationspreis der Deutschen Arbeitsgemeinschaft Vorderer Orient (DAVO).
