Practices of criticism
About the book
Anyone who asks how critique can become practical must have an idea of what critique is – and against the background of which normative orders something appears as a critical practice. For being able to question an order seems to be fundamental to the effectiveness of a critical practice that aims to bring about change and addresses specific addressees and a public with this demand. This volume demonstrates that practices of critique are at the same time specific forms of understanding critique. It shows that the linking of theory, practice and the socially specific interpretation of a normative order is central to the understanding of practices of critique.
