Copyright and all other rights to the content and design of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University’s WWW and Internet pages are held by the President of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University. The dissemination of content, including excerpts, for educational, scientific or private purposes is permitted, provided the source is cited, unless expressly stated otherwise at the relevant point. Any use of the layout or the HTML source text, even in a modified form, as well as any use of the WWW or Internet pages for commercial purposes, requires the written permission of the President of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University.

Disclaimer
As the content provider, Johann Wolfgang Goethe University is responsible for its “own content” which it makes available for use in accordance with general legislation. Johann Wolfgang Goethe University accepts no liability for the completeness or suitability of such content for specific purposes. The use of the content made available on the Internet pages is at the sole risk of the user.

Note on the issue of external links
Cross-references (“links”) to content provided by other university institutions and other providers must be distinguished from this own content. Links” are always “living” (dynamic) references. The web editors of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University have checked the external content for possible civil or criminal liability when the link was first created. However, it does not constantly check the content to which reference is made in the central information services of the Central Administration of Johann Wolfgang Goethe University on the WWW for changes that could give rise to new liability. If it determines or is informed by others that a specific offer to which it has provided a link triggers civil or criminal liability, it will remove the reference to this offer.
Despite careful control of the content, no liability is assumed for the content of external links. The operators of linked pages are solely responsible for their content. In its judgment of 12.05.1998 “Liability for links” (312 O 85/98), the Hamburg Regional Court ruled that the inclusion of a link may entail co-responsibility for the content of the “linked” page and may therefore result in liability. This can be prevented by emphatically distancing oneself from these contents. Against this background, the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University hereby expressly distances itself as a precautionary measure from all content of all linked pages on its website. It has no influence on the design and content of the linked pages, nor has it adopted these contents as its own. This declaration applies to all links and link collections that currently exist or will exist in the future.
