Professor Franziska Fay (Assistant Professor of Anthropology with a focus on Political Anthropology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) and former postdoctoral researcher at the Research Center for Normative Orders at Goethe University) has been awarded the Sibylle Kalkhof-Rose University Prize 2025 in the category of Humanities and Social Sciences.
With prize money of EUR 20,000, the Sibylle Kalkhof-Rose University Prize is the most valuable award presented at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU). The prize has been awarded annually by the Sibylle Kalkhof-Rose Foundation since 2022 and recognizes outstanding personal and academic achievements by young researchers at JGU.
Professor Fay’s award is in recognition of her outstanding commitment to research and teaching in the field of anthropology and her significant academic contributions at the interface of cultural and social sciences.
