The German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina is honoring economist Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln for her outstanding research in the field of quantitative macroeconomics with this year’s Carus Medal. The award will be presented to her at the symposium of the Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences class on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in Halle (Saale).
The Carus Medal was established on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the professorship of the XIIIth President of the Leopoldina, Carl Gustav Carus (1789-1869), and was first awarded in 1896. It recognizes significant scientific discoveries or research achievements by younger scientists in a field represented in the Leopoldina.
