»Blackness: Politics and Affect of Kinship in LITTLE SENEGAL«

Lecture von Dr. Boukary Sawadogo (New York)

„While African Americans face the challenge of double consciousness, Africans who experience the American notion of race for the first time must contend with triple consciousness as Black, African, and immigrant. Who is Black in America? How are narrative and duality in representations deployed to portray complex interpersonal relations among Black people in America?“ (Dr. Boukary Sawadogo)

Dr. Boukary Sawadogo ist Associate Professor für Cinema Studies und Black Studies am Department of Media and Communication Arts des City College of New York – City University of New York (CUNY).
