Comprehensive commentary on the “Critique of Pure Reason” published
Just in time for the Kant Year 2024, the 300th anniversary of Immanuel Kant’s birth, the commentary on the “Critique of Pure Reason” was recently published by De Gruyter. The commentary is edited by Bremen philosopher Georg Mohr and Frankfurt professor of modern philosophy and principal investigator of Normative Orders, Marcus Willaschek.
As part of the “Klassiker Auslegen” series, this volume offers a text-based exploration of central concepts, theses and lines of argument in this major work by the Königsberg philosopher. To this end, the internationally renowned authors have considered both the first and second editions of the work equally and without gaps.
The articles in the volume are written according to standardized guidelines and are thus divided into three or four parts: First, the position and function of the text passage are discussed, then the content and structure are referenced, followed by the actual text commentary, supplemented where appropriate by important questions of interpretation.
