The conversations are aimed at the general public and have a focus on ethical, juridical and societal challenges at the crossroads of health, environment and justice. The podcast is hosted by Dr. Romina Rekers (Postdoc at GHJ). She will talk with international experts from multiple fields of science as well as practice.
The podcast is an initiative part of the Global Health Justice Postdoctoral Programme (GHJ) at the Research Centre Normative Orders at Goethe University. The program is headed by Prof. Dr. Rainer Forst and Prof. Dr. Darrel Moellendorf and funded by the Höpp Foundation.
The guest of the first episode “Why Animal Welfare Belongs at the Heart of Public Health?” is the philosopher Jeff Sebo (NYU). Together with Romina Rekers he discusses the central role of animal welfare for preventing pandemics, bioethics and the necessity of preserving human and planterary health.
