Where is economic science heading?

About the book
A new methodological dispute has broken out among German economists. Under scrutiny are the methodological foundations of the subject, but also questions of the internationalization of German economics and common professional practices. This volume attempts to bring order to this battle over the economic curriculum by shedding light on the theoretical-historical and epistemological-critical backgrounds of the various positions. It also addresses issues relating to the culture and society of knowledge and the predictive power of economic theories.
