Anti-Muslim racism is a problem in Germany and manifests itself in different ways in all parts of society – this is the conclusion of the Independent Expert Group on Anti-Muslim Racism set up by the German government. After more than two and a half years of work, the committee has now delivered a far-reaching assessment. At the conference “Muslimfeindlichkeit – eine deutsche Bilanz”, which will take place on November 13, 2023 at the “Normative Orders” research center at Goethe University, experts will present key findings from the report and discuss other aspects of the topic.
The speakers include Dr. Lale Akgün, Dr. Mahmoud Bassiouni, Prof. Dr. Heiner Bielefeldt, Saba-Nur Cheema, Prof. Dr. Kai Hafez, Prof. Dr. Anja Middelbeck-Varwick, Rupert von Plottnitz, Prof. Dr. Ute Sacksofsky and Prof. Dr. Riem Spielhaus. The moderator will be Livia Gerster (Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung).
