Vortrag von Christine Landfried im Rahmen der Römerberggespräche „Last Exit nach dem Brexit – Ist Europa noch zu retten?” in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Exzellenzcluster „Die Herausbildung normativer Ordnungen” im Schauspiel Frankfurt.
Christine Landfried ist emeritierte Professorin für Politikwissenschaft an der Universität Hamburg und Senior Fellow der Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. Sie war von 2014 bis 2016 Max Weber Professorin für Deutschland- und Europastudien an der New York University und anschließend Senior Émile Noël Fellow an der NYU School of Law. 2016 erhielt sie den Schader-Preis für innovative Forschung. Ihre Themen sind die Verfassungsgerichtsbarkeit, die Finanzierung der Politik und die europäische Integration. Sie möchte mit ihren Arbeiten zur EU analysieren, unter welchen Bedingungen kulturelle, ökonomische und politische Differenzen ein Potential für demokratisches Regieren sein können. Im März 2019 erschien der von ihr herausgegebene Band „Judicial Power. How Constitutional Courts Affect Political Transformations”, und im Moment arbeitet sie an einer neuen Auflage ihres Buches „Das politische Europa. Differenz als Potential der EU.”
