Leibniz Award Research Group ‘Transnational Justice’
The Leibniz Award Research Group Transnational Justice focuses on different aspects of a critical theory of justice, from the grounds, uses and contours of the notion of justice within various social, political and philosophical contexts to the most important injustices of the current transnational order. A theory of transnational justice not only has to account for the transnational economic, political and legal affairs; it also has to rest upon grounds with universal justifications.
One aim is therefore to establish a transnational network with researchers from all regions of the world in order to discuss problems of justice from a transnational perspective. We are currently collaborating with researchers in Latin America, North America, Africa, the Middle East, India and China.
The group is funded through the German Research Foundation’s (DFG) Leibniz Programme, which awarded the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Award to Prof. Forst in 2012.
Speaker of the Leibniz Award Research Group is Prof. Dr. Rainer Forst
