Transnational justice and democracy
About the book
The guiding principles of justice and democracy, which have traditionally been defined for domestic orders, must be redefined philosophically and politically today. This raises the question of whether the state or the cosmopolitan community is the appropriate frame of reference. The authors discuss how justice and democracy are fundamentally connected under conditions of globalization and how justice and democratic legitimacy can be realized beyond the nation state.
