The formation of normative orders
About the book
How is it that people adhere to normative orders, and what norms do they consist of? The philosophical contributions in this volume shed light on the question of their binding force. In addition, they examine from a historical perspective how different ways of justifying orders have developed. The construction of new international legal orders is explored in the legal studies contributions. Finally, from a political science perspective, the principles on which the institutional design of our political world is or should be based are shown.
