§§ 41-43 BDSG

About the book:

This major commentary is tailored to the needs of both practitioners and academics. In its 2nd edition, the work explains the standards of the GDPR and all provisions of the BDSG 2018 (including the already considered draft of the BDSG amendment) in a dogmatically sound manner – and at the same time always with the practitioner in mind – stringently and with a focus on the essentials. Particular attention is paid to the presentation of the interaction between European and national law. The increasing networking and digitalization of the economy is also taken into account.

The 2nd edition takes into account, among other things, new amendments to sector-specific data protection law at federal and state level since the publication of the 1st edition, the first opinions and decisions of the courts and supervisory authorities, the Schrems II decision of the ECJ of July 2020 in Art. 44 et seq. GDPR as well as changes to the new BDSG through the 2nd Data Protection Adaptation and Implementation Act-EU.
