In 2025, Julia Costet earned her PhD in Philosophy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), with a dissertation titled “Speaking Rape. Engaging Experience for a Feminist Practice of Rape Survivorship.” Her research focuses on approaches in feminist philosophy, poststructuralist theory, and the ethics of alterity. Building on the work of Emmanuel Levinas, Jacques Derrida, and Iris Young, her current project, “Asymmetrically Bound,” seeks to develop a cross-experiential hermeneutic model of solidarity that enables asymmetrically positioned subjects to relate to one another without reducing or erasing their differences.
