The Value of Critique

About the book
Many theorists have abandoned a practice of critique in favor of alternative attitudes of judgment that can be described as practices of appreciation. This anthology examines how an opposition between these two ways of thinking is understood and asks whether and how it can be overcome. The practices of judgment in the field of art play a paradigmatic role here.
