Modes of platform regulation in the areas of copyright, hate speech and disinformation

About the anthology:

The European Union has had a “digital strategy” since 2020. With this strategy, the EU institutions are attempting to legally regulate the activities of the players in cyberspace, which are often perceived as random. The projects are extensive and range from the regulation of digital platforms and gatekeepers to the creation of a common cybersecurity space and the digitalization of the European healthcare system.
The Walter Hallstein Symposium 2022 attempted to define the legal framework for the digitalization of European society with the topic “Digitalization in the European Union”. This volume brings together contributions from this colloquium, which trace the developments up to the end of 2022.
