Europe’s role in the world: values-driven foreign policy is the topic of the Crisis Talk
Human rights, the rule of law and democracy are fundamental values that guide the European Union. In order to counter the current crises, the so-called value-based foreign and security policy is a cornerstone of the Union. What does this foundation mean in the light of current crises such as the Russian attack on Ukraine or the war in Israel and Gaza?
The next Crisis Talk – on January 23 at the EU Representation of the State of Hesse in Brussels – will focus on these and other issues relating to the EU’s value-driven foreign and security policy. This time, the guests will be Friedrich von Heusinger (Head of the State Representation), Dr. Stefan Kroll and Prof. Dr. Nicole Deitelhoff (both PRIF), Hannah Neumann (MEP) and Prof. Dr. Frank Hoffmeister (Director of the European External Action Service). Rebecca C. Schmidt (Normative Orders) will moderate the discussion.
