What is liberation?
At the opening event of our series of events on the significance of the Frankfurt School on March 20 at the MUSEUM MMK FÜR MODERNE KUNST, philosophy professor Christoph Menke (Goethe University, Normative Orders) and journalist Cord Riechelmann from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung will talk about the topic “What is liberation?”.
The focus of the evening is Menke’s recently published book “Theory of Liberation” by Suhrkamp Verlag. In it, the philosopher starts from the diagnosis that previous liberation movements have always led to new orders of dependency and shows how freedom and domination are inextricably interwoven.
About the series
