In the second year of the Russian war against Ukraine, its global distortions are becoming increasingly apparent: The war is undermining the ability of international organizations to function and making urgently needed cooperation in policy areas such as climate protection and trade policy more difficult. Domestically, polarization and conspiracy narratives are also on the rise – with negative consequences for democracy. But ending support for Ukraine, stopping arms deliveries and appeasing the aggressor Russia would not bring peace.
The Peace Report is the joint report of the German peace research institutes (BICC / IFSH / INEF / PRIF) and has been published since 1987. In it, researchers from various disciplines examine international conflicts from a strategic peace perspective and make clear recommendations for policymakers.
