The contributions present impressive case analyses from Germany, the (former) Soviet Union, Italy and Slovakia: Justice as a transmission belt of modern dictatorships, but also as a central institution for dealing with state-organized violent crimes. The starting point is J\u00fcrgen Zarusky&#8217;s concept of political justice for the comparative study of the National Socialist and Stalinist dictatorships.
