Conspiracy theories suggest so, but so do many social scientific approaches. Sociologist Dr. Endre D\u00e1nyi suggests the main challenge is whether we can distinguish between different kinds of connections. Why do we tend to perceive reality as disconnected from truth? Taking inspiration from Hannah Arendt, political scientist Sebastian Schindler argues that we should not accept that reality is fake.<\/p>\n<p>Fake World meets True Scientists: In der LICHTER AGORA diskutieren junge Philosophen und Wissenschaftler des Exzellenzclusters \u201eDie Herausbildung normativer Ordnungen\u201c der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt am Main \u00fcber Wahrheit und ihre Bedeutung f\u00fcr Politik und Zeitgeschichte. Ausgangspunkt der drei Sessions ist die BBC-Dokumentation HyperNormalisation (Adam Curtis, 2016). Ausgew\u00e4hlte Filmausschnitte liefern Impulse f\u00fcr das offene Gespr\u00e4chsforum.
